The Icelandic Dance Company is suffering due to the Icelandic Government's decision to resume commercial whaling. According to Bryndís Nielsen, the company will tour the United States in November next year and the plan is to perform in 10-15 places. The company just received cancellation from the town of New Bedford in Massachusetts. The performance was cancelled in protest to Iceland's commercial whaling. New Bedford used to be a town of whale hunting but the people have now turned against it.
