Gold in Italy 26. júní 2006 18:26 Graduating students from The Icelandic Ballet School won last night first prize in Dans Grand Prix Europe 2006, an international competition in contemporary dance that was held in Cesena, Italy. Competitors came from 55 countries and the Icelanders won the Golden Prize for the pieces „Prisma" about communication among humans and „Starfish Prisma" which refers to the first atomic bomb released by the United States. The students that competed in Italy under the artistic direction of Karen María Jónsdóttir were, Melkorka Sigríður Magnúsdóttir, Vigdís Eva Guðmundsdóttir and Helga Jónína Markúsdóttir.
