Minister of Justice Björn Bjarnason wants to begin discussion on the neccessity of an Icelandic secret service. The Minister made a speech on the matter at the east Reykjavík Rotary club on defence matters, a speech he then published on his website www.bjorn.is.

Bjarnason intends to highlight the matter at Parliament and said that his ministry had received special advice on founding a secret service from the European Union.
