VÍSIR/ANDRI MARINÓ One thing that has not gone unnoticed here at Iceland Airwaves is that many of the festival staff are young people from outside of Iceland. One of them is Aubrey from Colorado in the US. Aubrey had long wanted to come to Iceland, but then she was offered a job to work as an intern for Kamilla Ingibergsdóttir, one of the festival organizers, for six months last year. "I wanted to come back and volunteered for this year's festival," says Aubrey. "Reykjavík is a wonderful city and the festival is awesome. Iceland Airwaves is a very special festival. Here you have bands whom are just starting out getting equal billing with world-famous bands." Aubrey's stay this time is only for a week, but she's certain that she'll come back next year as she's fallen in love with the country.
