StreetStyle: Álfrún

Álfrún Pálsdóttir is a fashion journalist and make-up artist.

What are you wearing?

I'm wearing my favourite trousers from Miss Sixty wich I bought at a 70% discount of the original price, I think it's the best buy I have ever made because they are so worth it. I just bought this cape from Zara and it is very cosy and comfortable. Warm and stylish for the cold winter ahead. The shoes are ankle boots from the classic shoe store Steinar Waage and it is the first time I've bought shoes there since I was five years old. Times are changing.

How do you describe your personal style?

Comfortable. A little bit of Audrey Hepburn meets Sienna Miller. But it changes by the minute....

What is your favourite shop in Reykjavik?

I like Kronkron and Kron and Liborius when I want something expensive. Zara and Topshop when I want something fashionable for less. Spúútnik and Gyllti kötturinn are best for second-hand.

What is your favourite shop abroad?

Peder&Stöffer in Copenhagen, Killiwatch in Paris, Acne in Stockholm and Arrogant Cat in London.

Who is your style icon?

There are so many people that I look up to for having good style. I have to say everybody that feels confident enough to dress how they feel like dressing and aren't afraid of anyone's judgment. Those are my style icons.

Style no-no's? Hmmm difficult... white sport socks and black sandals?

What is your style advice?

Always dress comfortably, the clothes look so much better when you are comfortable wearing them.
